My background
It’s hard for me to believe, but I’ve been a working graphic designer for nearly 20 years! Fresh out of college, I planned to use my music degree to launch a career in arts administration, but my path quickly shifted to graphic design after I discovered a love for creating brochures, concert programs, newsletters, and websites for the non-profits I worked for.
I went back to school for a certificate in digital graphic design and started on a new path. Since then, I’ve created web and print designs for a wide range of industries including park districts, libraries, wineries, law offices, and more.

My experience in both web and print design means I have a rare mix of creativity AND technical know-how.
I’m passionate about designing meaningful logos and thinking strategically about what a brand communicates.
I also enjoy the problem-solving that comes with working with code and knowing how to refine it to build efficient, user-friendly websites.
This means I’m able to consider the bigger picture of how your brand will work online, and also allows me to customize Squarespace sites so your website won’t look like everyone else’s.

You’ll benefit from my attention to detail and organization. I thought I wanted to be a teacher when I was little, but it turns out what I really liked was making worksheets, decorating the bulletin board, and organizing the grade book. Today, these skills serve me well in my design career.

Behind the scenes…
As an entrepreneur and mom of two teenage boys, I don’t always have a lot of free time but when I do, I enjoy singing, reading, travel, gardening and decorating cookies. While I’m based in the Chicago area, My happy place is Door County, Wisconsin, where I’ve enjoyed many a family vacation and spent two summers working in the office at Peninsula Players Theater.
